The vineyard has its roots at the PANSIOT farm in Couchey, dating back to 1688, where agriculture and livestock were practiced. During the Second World War, the family suffered the loss of three children: Bernard, Bernadette, and Edmond, as well as their father, Albert PANSIOT. Throughout this period, Marie and her daughter Marie-Thérèse worked on the farm.
During 4 terrible years, the survival of the farm was maintained through the courage and hard work of Marie PANSIOT and her daughter Marie-Thérèse.
Later, in 1947, Marie-Thérèse married Marcel SIRUGUE, who had returned from the end of the war. A farmer in Perrigny-lès-Dijon, he had been expropriated from his land for the creation of the Gevrey Chambertin railway, and he worked on the PANSIOT farm with his wife and mother-in-law.
With a good ability to adapt, he was able to restart and develop the vineyard and cereal business.
In 1976, Maurice joined forces with his parents to establish the "GAEC Sirugue père et fils". The enterprise saw expansion in 1983 with the inclusion of Jean Marie.
The continuation of the family tradition now passes to the sons of Maurice and Jean-Marie: Julien and Guillaume, cousins and partners, both leading the Sirugue Estate. The family collaborates with their team, including Lucas, Marjorie, and Dom, maintaining the familial atmosphere that their ancestors have always advocated and nurtured.
